White Bird Clinic Announces Service Hour Changes
EUGENE, OREGON –Upcoming reductions in service hours for White Bird Clinic’s CAHOOTS and Crisis programs will begin on Monday, April 7.
CAHOOTS Mobile Crisis Response
The temporary reduction will affect services in the City of Eugene only; Eugene CAHOOTS services will be reduced to one shift per week. CAHOOTS services in Springfield will remain unchanged and will continue to operate from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.
Crisis Hotline
White Bird’s Crisis Hotline will be staffed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Calls received outside of these hours will be directed to an automated message with information on alternative emergency and crisis intervention services.
“We recognize that these changes will impact the community we serve, and we are committed to providing support wherever possible during this transition,” says Interim Executive Director Amée Markwardt. “Our top priority is not only minimizing disruptions to client services but also actively exploring funding opportunities to restore and scale up services as soon as possible.”
All other White Bird Clinic programs will continue operating M–F during their usual hours.
These include:
White Bird Medical Clinic
White Bird Dental Clinic
Harm Reduction and Treatment Center
Chrysalis Behavioral Health Outpatient Services
White Bird Clinic Mental Health Counseling
Navigation Empowerment Services Team (NEST)
